GAY VIENNA BY NIGHT

Vienna is a popular destination for gays and lesbians from around the world. At night in Vienna you'll find many places and we confirm the presence of people from all over the world.

Vienna does not have a gay district, but the area where most bars and clubs are concentrated is the Margareten quarter, around Wienzeile street and the famous Naschmarkt.

All bars we went accept card payments and you can't smoke in any inside.

We really liked the atmosphere in the bars, with a lot of mix between locals, tourists and expats.

Here are some recommendations:

- Kisss Bar - Is a restaurant bar (opens at 4pm) and was perhaps on our entire trip, the best place where we had dinner. For €10.90 you have the right to a XXL meal, very tasty and a delicious dessert included. Pretty much everyone in the bar was local but we felt really good and there was a mix of ages. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

- Café Rifugio - Small café open from 10am to 10pm. It didn't seem to be very frequented by tourists and the person who attended didn't speak english, but the customers who were in the cafe helped and we were very well received. It is frequented by an older audience.

- Eagle Bar - One of the oldest leather and fetish bars in Austria. Here you'll find a bar and a plenty of room to play, with sling, cubicles and dark corners. If you just want to go for a drink, you can do it too, since the dark room is located in an isolated area of ​​the bar. The staff was very friendly.

- Village Bar - One of Vienna’s trendiest gay bars. This popular cocktail bar serves up tasty drink specials and features a large music video wall. Great staff and speak very good english. Maybe it was the bar that we saw the most foreigners.

- Replay Party - Monthly party at the Opera Club, next to the Vienna Opera. Payments with card are not accepted at the party and the prices of drinks are the normal ones for bars in the city. Expect to find house music and circuit style, international DJs and a more underground environment.

There are many more places you can visit such as Felixx Bar, City Bar, Café Rudiger, Sling Bar, Mango Bar, among many others.

If you're going to Vienna, you have to get to know and enjoy the night. We love it and recommend it to everyone. Vienna really is the 'City of Music', it offers a great choice of gay bars, clubs and monthly gay dance parties across the city.
