MALTA PRIDE 2022
Malta Pride lasted one week and ran from September 2nd to September 11th. It was the first time we were present at Malta Pride and it was a pleasant surprise. We were not counting on so many people and from the most varied places in the world. It was very very good.
For Malta Pride Week, several events were organized during the week and it reached its peak last weekend. All information regarding Malta Pride could be followed on maltapride.org and also on gaymalta.com
This year there was also the first LGBTIQ March on the island of Gozo as a "Symbol of Visibility", which you can say was a success.
We've been to other Prides around the world and we're honest, we weren't expecting so many people and party. We really want to go back and we will be back in 2023, the year Malta will host Europride, the biggest gay pride event.
Malta Pride week had several events spread throughout the week such as:
- The 2022 Malta Pride Opening Party
- Gozo Pride March
- Brunch, Bingo & Cabaret with Dolly Diamond
- Speed Dating & Networking
- Queeraoke & Dance
- LOLLIPOP - Spice Up Your Pride!
- among many others
And to finish off in a big way:
- The Malta Pride March - with thousands of people filling the streets of Valletta, a super fun atmosphere, lots of music and partying, the parade started at 5 pm at Castille Palace and after about 2 hours it ended at Triton Fountain, having immediately started a outdoor concert.
- The Malta Pride Concert after the march, took place at Triton Square, Valletta.
There were several performances on stage and there were several stalls selling drinks for everyone to enjoy the late afternoon/evening.
- After Pride Party, which was organized by the MichaelAngelo club and once again filled the giant room of the Sky Club in Paceville.
Several gogo boys were cheering the crowd and also had the presence of WRS - Llámame - from Romania Eurovision 2022.
- MANY MORE VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL -- DISCOTITS Pool Party at MedAsia playa beach club, with lots of DJs, entertainers and an incredible vibe.
Once again we repeat, Malta will host Europride 2023, Europe's biggest gay pride event, next year. So write down the dates from 7th to 17th of September 2023 in your diary and, like us, start preparing your visit! ;)
