AMAZING THAILAND GAY GROUP TOURS WITH US!

We loved Bangkok! We like big cities and yes, this is one of them!

After a 17 hour flight on Emirates we arrived in hot Bangkok. We left the Portugal Winter and reached the strong Thai heat! Tired of the trip and still confused, we didn’t think twice: we called an Uber to get to the hotel.
Fascinating city, full of energy, culture, commerce and lights. The smell of the food is a constant and either you love it or hate it.
For some, one day is enough to visit the city. We stayed almost a week and it wasn’t enough. So we’ll be back in January 2019. Bangkok is divided into several zones. The one selected by us was Silom, for being close to gay night and the various transports nearby.
We stayed in Le Siam hotel in a double room. We were very well received throughout our stay. To highlight the fantastic breakfast of this hotel. We noticed that in the hotel there were other gay couples staying. Because of the hotel location, it’s quite normal.

We slept little, so that we could enjoy the night and the day, but it was worth it!

PLACES WE VISITED AND RECOMMEND

Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew - Grand Palace is just the most visited place in Bangkok, a huge complex of temples and palaces.
You can expect a complex full of people! People everywhere! Have patience, take it easy and enjoy it because it’s worth it.
Upon arrival, there are two large entrance gates, one for Thais only and one for foreigners. For men and woman it’s not allowed to enter with shorts, with large necklines or to show the shoulders.
It’s also good to remember that to enter the temples, you have to take off your shoes. Wearing finger slippers while visiting the Grand Palace makes life easier.
Don’t forget, wear light clothes!

Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn)

Wat Pho

Khao San Road - Khao San Road is a kind of center of Bangkok!

Everyone will stop there for fun! This is the thai street where you can find everything, and mostly tourists! The street, besides restaurants, bars and hostels has many other attractions.

We advise to visit Rambuttri Road and other streets next.

Chinatown (Yaowarat Road) - If you want to know one of the biggest, if not the largest chinatown in the world, go there. A different world full of energy, smells and colors.
Narrow streets with lots of movement. Different but worth the visit.

Golden Mount – Wat Saket - Built on an artificial hill, it is 300 steps up to the top! Has a great panoramic view over the city and Wat Saket temple.

We walked there from Chinatown! It’s a bit far and we walked a lot.

Lumpini Park - This park is known as the city green heart. It was very close to our hotel in Silom.

Fresh space with a large artificial lake and boats can also be rented.
A great way to escape the city chaos.
And yes, there are giant lizards in the park! We saw them.

Taling Chan Floating Market - We chosed this floating market because there are fewer tourists and exceeded expectations. We took a boat tour, which was fantastic and a lot of fun.

Because it’s a little far from the city, we took an Uber from the hotel.

Shopping Malls - Most are concentrated in the Siam zone. We walked there and visited MBK.
It’s huge and you almost lose yourself inside! You literally find everything, everywhere. There are 7 floors and 2500 stores of original and expensive items to the cheapest and fake.
It’s an authentic fair inside a mall. You easily spend a whole day inside.
You easily cross from one mall to another because they’re all interconnected.
If you walk a little outside, in the streets around you, you’ll find several universities and colleges of the city.

Asiatique The Riverfront - Old harbor super well recovered with 1500 shops and 40 restaurants, by the river that are worth a visit at the end of the day, early evening.
There’s a free ferry from the Sathorn Pier to visit Asiatique.
