CAMINITO DEL REY
As we were in Ronda we wanted to live this experience.
If you are in Torremolinos, for example, the trip takes about 1 hour, just like coming from Ronda. We can say that it was the experiences we did that we liked the most. It will stay forever in our memory and we recommend it to everyone.
To go to the Caminito del Rey, buy your ticket through the Caminito website (www.caminitodelrey.info) and as far in advance as possible, as it runs out very easily. Tickets cost 10€ per person plus 1.55€ for the bus if you want (you will use it).
When you buy the ticket on the website, you will receive an email with the ticket and that’s it to enter, just show it at the entrance, you don’t need to print anything.
When you buy the ticket you choose whether you want to visit with a guide (18€) or individual with one hour free. We bought the individual entrance for noon, but as we arrived earlier, we managed to enter at 11am. Go with some time in advance, since it is necessary to be at least 30 minutes before your time and parking until the entrance is still a route that can take a while.
We parked the car in the north area (where the route starts). Search in the gps parking north entrance in Ardales. The price of parking is 2€ all day.
Then on the road you will have 2 tunnels that will lead to the entrance of the caminito, choose the small tunnel that is about 1.5km to the entrance and only here takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If you go through the big tunnel that is right next to the El Kiosko restaurant, here it will take you about 1 hour to reach the entrance.
When you pass the entrance control, you will be entitled to a helmet that you cannot remove and enjoy the fantastic experience and tour that is unique.
Attention, there is no toilet on the way, so it is best to go to the toilet before entering. Take a lot of water with you, some food (sandwiches, snacks) because the journey can take about 2 hours.
