GRAN CANARIA - WINTER PRIDE MASPALOMAS 2019

This is the event we went to for the first time in 2018 as you can see here MASPALOMAS WINTER PRIDE 2018.
We returned in 2019 and we hope to return in 2020 at least we have everything ready for it.
This time we went on a direct flight with TAP from Lisbon to Gran Canaria and booked an apartment on Airbnb right next to Yumbo.
It’s the last Pride of the year in Europe and the sixth Winter Pride Maspalomas was celebrated from the November 4th to the 10th 2019. Once again it was an incredible week with lots of partying, lots of new friends and reunion with others… and a lot of alcohol to the mixture. This year we went with another friend, who was also surrendered to the event.
We can say that the event was a total success, having some news such as the toilets paid for on the premises, which we agreed and supported the idea. Everything was more organized and clean, there were also reusable cups that you could use in the different bars of the organization between other news.
The weather this year just didn’t help the best (for us) Yumbo party. The foam party had to be canceled due to the strong wind that was felt at the time, despite being hotter this year, but even without foam there was a party next to the stage at Yumbo.
As in the other years, there were many pool parties, boat parties and free live concerts on the big stage installed in the middle of the Yumbo, also with the performances of the amazing (we love them) High Heels Performance.
This year 2 Unlimited brought to the fore the thousands of people who participated in the event as well as Cristina Ramos, Tara McDonald, La voix and many more.
THE PARADE!
The parade this year was the biggest of all and again fantastic.
We were dressed up as you can see in the photos and had 2 trucks with 2 themes: one of the trucks had a white and gold theme and the other with a pride theme. Once again, there was a lot of music, confetti rain to liven up the already animated thousands of people that were along the strip of avenue. IT WAS SPECTACULAR.
On the last day of the event, the organization took the stage to explain that Winter Pride was having trouble getting back to itself, due to the lack of local support, but in the meantime everything was resolved and if you want to participate in the 2020 edition the dates are set and the Winter Pride Maspalomas 2020 will take place from 9 to 15 November and we will be there again.
