RIVIERA BEACH AND CLAY CLIFFS

We went to Rivieira beach and Clay Cliffs by bus, the trip takes almost 1 hour. But it's really worth it.

We had already read that the area was very good and yes, we confirm. If you can, spend at least 1 day there.

At the end of Riveira beach, there's a "gay zone" where some nudity is done, although it is illegal. Malta doesn't exactly have gay beaches, some are marked as a gay zone. These beaches are Rivieira Beach, Pembroke Beach, right next to Madliena Tower and Gnejna beach.

We only visited Rivieira beach, which for us is the best beach in Malta. It has an extensive sand, half orange, super clean water and framed in a virgin landscape and a nature reserve. Although it looks like a wild beach, it has surveillance, it has a restaurant at the beginning of the beach right next to the access stairs and at the top of the hill, there are 2 small kiosks that sell some drinks. The one at the beginning of the stairs sells biological/natural products and that's where we tasted our first biological/natural cola. We're honest it was good, but we prefer the original one! ;)

If you prefer, take something to eat on the beach and we guarantee a full day.

Whether or not you like to walk, above the beach you have the Clay Cliffs. It's almost mandatory to go to Clay Cliffs. Our suggestion is when you get to the beach go straight to Clay Cliffs and then go down to the beach. ;)

The Clay Cliffs are a stunning rock formation and a privileged viewpoint over both Riviera Bay (locally known as Għajn Tuffieħa Bay) and Qarraba Bay. You will feel like you are on top of the world. Both hiking enthusiasts and rookie explorers will happily realize that Clay Cliffs and its panoramic views are an unmissable spot in Malta.
