Since we were staying in Torremolinos, we wanted to see other areas that were close with car and that we could go and come back on the same day.

We start with Benamaldena, which is about a 15 minute drive from Torremolinos. In the morning we visited the fantastic and original Benamaldena Marina. You can easily park on Av. Del Puerto Deportivo Parking. Here you are right at the marina and can walk wherever you want and go to the beach of La Carihuela which is right next.

If you go to this beach, visit the gay Cafe Bar El Mico.

The Benamaldena Marina was one of the most beautiful and original that we have ever visited. The marina has won the Best Marina in the World award several times. Here you’ll find a little bit of everything, from the smallest boat to the largest you have ever seen. When walking through the marina you have several cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.
If you want you can have lunch at the marina, which is what we did. After that, you can go to Benalmadena Pueblo.

BENALMÁDENA PUEBLO

This amazing pueblo is about 15 minute drive from the marina. It’s located at the top of the mountain at 300 meters high and as such, you’ll have great and beautiful views of the entire coast. Benalmadena pueblo is known as Casco Antiguo and as the name implies it is the old part of Benalmadena.

Here you’ll find immaculate streets, white houses, streets full of flowers and narrow streets, charming squares and a super relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. When walking lost through the pueblo, take a break and stop at one of the several cafes with a terrace and enjoy all the corners of the square or alley where you are located.
